I‘ve been in software development for 20 years and have been doing Scrum/Agile for about 10 of those. I’ve grappled with the real-world challenges of being Agile as a developer, Scrum Master, functional manager, coach, and de facto Product Owner. In this blog, I present my thoughts about my ongoing learning process, hopefully in a way that provokes some new ways of thinking in you, the reader.
I hold Certified ScrumMaster, Certified Scrum Product Owner, and Certified Scrum Professional credentials from Scrum Alliance, but more importantly I’ve been in hundreds of daily stand-up, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint review meetings and have facilitated many retrospectives. I truly believe in empowering teams and developing leadership skills within teams so that I can leave them self-aware and self-sufficient.
I divide my spare time between my wonderful wife (she’s the smart half), taking care of my kids, playing guitar and drums, learning Japanese, playing Scrabble and about a hundred other things. Welcome to my blog!
